From

Christian

"I wanted to be a therapist because I enjoy...

...breaking the stigma that surrounds mental health and prevents clients from getting better. I find great passion in walking alongside individuals and couples that desire to learn about themselves.

I began therapy soon after becoming a counselor and my love for the profession grew. Being able to see myself heal and grow has grown and nurtured my empathy and understanding for my own clients. I want my clients to feel understood and accepted by me. I strive to create a space that feels safe, open, and supportive. I walk at the pace of my clients and allow you to direct your own path.

I incorporate multiple therapy models in sessions, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), person centered therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, faith-based therapy, and others. In my work with couples, I enjoy using Gottman Method -- one of the most well-researched and widely-renowned models of therapy for couples in any stage of relationship. I value my clients' goals and getting to know my clients personally. I love assisting clients in developing coping skills, decreasing symptoms of anxiety and stress, navigating complex relationship dynamics, improving communication, increasing body acceptance, and other goals that lead my clients to fuller, more meaningful lives and connections.

My own self care consists of time with my pets and family, time with friends, and my personal therapy. Fun fact about me: all of my pets are rescues! I look forward to meeting you and getting to walk alongside you.
