"My passion for counseling was sparked by the belief that...
"every person has the capacity to grow, change, and build the life they want for themselves. It is an honor to be part of that process and get to witness clients make positive strides towards achieving their own sense of fulfillment.
My favorite thing about my role as a counselor is that I get to carve out a space where clients can be real, messy, and unapologetically themselves without judgment while they are on this journey. Come as you are and I will meet you there!
My counseling style is supportive, collaborative, and authentic. My job is to help you figure out what you would like to achieve, and collaboratively set and work on actionable goals that help you get there, together. During sessions, we will reflect, learn, problem-solve, and process emotions and life stressors.
I primarily utilize CBT, ACT, and solution-focused techniques, focusing on the connection between our thoughts and beliefs, our self-concepts, and our behavior as human beings. Since no two clients are the same, my approach varies per client and often per session. Rigid structure is not what you will find in my office; if an intervention is not working for you, we can always change course!
Outside of the office, I am often found exercising, cooking and eating good food, tuning into a podcast about psychology or history while I clean or work on crafts, or spending time with my partner and my two spoiled cats, Ruby and Pete. I enjoy puzzles, beading, embroidery, and painting. I look forward to connecting with you and helping you build your best life!
